Tech week is upon us.

I have been questioning the logic of the school system recently. Not that I have never done this before, but the amount of work, the pressing of time, the sheer magnitude of crap that teenagers have to sift through-- sometimes, it's absurd.

When one is so sick they can't attend class and get booted out of college for their absences. When one has to come to school and infect their peers because they don't want the boot. When one has so much work they cannot physically finish it all; the degradation and shame because of this. Breaks and weekends are filled with homework because of the justification that "The free-time given over the break is best used for education and if not filled with homework, the retention of education is lost."

If there's one thing I learned from Health class, it's that monkeys that aren't hugged will die. If there's one thing I learned from The Onion, it's that monkeys will be harmed if they are stabbed.

That stressful diarrhea being addressed, I must say I'm in an anxious spot. I'm not in peril... Yet. We'll see how tech week goes. The show is looking great so far, but as fate likes to have it, my grade may be laying in wait to ambush me while I'm in peril.

I haven't had much time for big art pieces, even for my Art class. We're doing linoleum cut prints right now, and I am not very good at it. Alas! I doodle so many skeletal creatures in class I'm sure someone out there thinks I'm more disturbed than I appear.
